Why don't you just get a room of your own, instead of being part of another family? Or even your own apartment? I assume you could afford that? I've been living on my own for quite some time now, and yep it is soo much better. And having your own room/apartment instead a loft helps that. You get to paint, change things etc. I'm not criticizing your choice, but rather urge you to make your house 'yours' as much as you do with the clothing on your body (when you are not working)
